Phil Thuma
Phil and his wife Elaine joined the Grantham Church in 2018. Phil, the son of BiC missionaries, grew up in Zimbabwe and Zambia. Phil and Elaine met while he was attending Messiah College (now University), were married in 1971 and then spent many years as missionaries in Zambia at Macha Mission Hospital. Phil later began a malaria research program at Macha in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. They have 3 married children and seven grandchildren. Phil is a recently retired pediatrician and research scientist. He and Elaine now live in Dillsburg in the house where Elaine grew up.
