My Coins Count

collection SUN, MAR 5–26

It’s time again to collect your coins! Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) – one of Grantham’s Ministry Partners – supports increased access to education to at-risk children, helps improve the quality of education through training, and promotes peace clubs and other initiatives that help develop young people’s full potential as leaders. This year’s My Coins Count collection will be designated for MCC’s education initiatives around the world. Throughout the month of March, drop your spare change in the collection containers in the church lobby.

MCC Relief Kit Collection

collection SUN, MAR 5–SUN, APR 2

There is currently an increased demand for supplies to meet urgent needs for people around the world whose lives have been disrupted by war or disaster. One of our Ministry Partners, Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), is strategically situated to help meet these needs, but their inventory of material resources is getting low. Now through April 2, Grantham Church will be collecting supplies for MCC relief kits. Here are the supplies MCC requests (NEW items only please):

  • Large bars bath soap (in wrapper)
  • Shampoo (at least 20 oz)
  • Large bars laundry soap (such as Fels Naptha®, Sunlight® or Zote® brands)
  • Adult-size toothbrushes (in packaging)
  • Bath towels (medium weight, dark or bright colors; approx. 29 in x 60 in)
  • Wide-toothed combs (6–8 in)
  • Nail clippers (good quality)
  • Boxes of adhesive bandages (minimum 40, assorted)
  • Sanitary pads (THIN, minimum 28 pads)

Please leave your donations at the MCC table near the library entrance. Find out more about MCC relief kits and other supply kits here.

Fellowship Meals
Fellowship Meals
1st & 3rd SUNDAYS of the MONTH @ 12PM in FELLOWSHIP HALL

In 2022, One80 Ministries began hosting bi-monthly fellowship meals after the worship service on Sundays. As these meals have grown and more have been participating, Grantham Church is excited to announce that we will be more actively partnering with One80 as a co-host. We would like to extend the invitation to our community to stay after the service for food and fellowship twice/month. Our prayer is that, as we share time together over these meals, God will strengthen our friendships across divides, encourage us as we journey together in our faith, and provide a welcoming space for anyone seeking to be known and loved.

The spring 2023 meal dates are:

  • March 5 & 19
  • April 2 & 16
  • May 7 & 21

During the meal on March 5, our Community Life Team will provide a card-writing station with supplies for all ages to write a note of encouragement to a friend or neighbor.

As we seek to make fellowship meals available for a larger number of people, we appreciate your understanding and support in the logistics. If you are interested in helping with setup, tear down, cooking, serving, or dish cleaning, please contact Dawn Isley.

There’s room at the table!
