2 Kings 4:42-44; Isaiah 25:6-9; Luke 9:7-20
When Jesus asked the crowds of hungry people to sit down in a remote place and for his disciples to feed them, he was fulfilling a messianic expectation. His actions indicated that he is the One they have been waiting for, and that through a meal in the wilderness he was inviting everyone who would come to celebrate before the final victory. In the third message in our series, Pastor David invites us to see how Jesus calls his disciples to feast with hope—to throw a party in the wilderness.
